Bellingham Waterfront, early 1900s

Bellingham Waterfront, early 1900s

A view of the Bellingham Waterfront, exact year unknown. However there is a way of knowing from looking at the picture that it was taken no earlier than 1907-1908 and cannot have been taken any later than around 1928 or early 1929 at the very latest.

I leave it to you locals (if any) to ponder.

(Hint: something is missing!)

  1. Correct. The Bellingham Hotel was built as the last project of the pre-Depression building boom, 1929-30. It is also the last remaining example of art-deco standing in Bellingham.
